项目摘要

令和4年度は、主として下記の内容について研究を行った。（1）共同研究開発に関する先行研究サーベイ今年度は企業間のアライアンスを通じた共同研究開発に関する先行研究、および多国籍企業内部で国際的な拠点間の共同で実施される国際共同研究開発について公表された先行研究のサーベイを行い、近年の研究動向に関して把握を試みた。この先行研究サーベイを通じて、企業間でオープンに行われる共同研究開発と、多国籍企業内部の国際共同研究開発をそれぞれ別個の研究テーマとして論じるのではなく、両方を統合的に分析することの重要性が浮き彫りにされた。また、それぞれの共同研究開発がどのような論理で一つの企業内で展開されているのかについて、実証的な分析を行う上での概念的なフレームワークの検討も合わせて行った。（2）特許データベースの構築今年度は特に、日本の自動車産業の大手3社（トヨタ自動車、日産自動車、本田技研工業）における上記の二種類の共同研究開発の状況について調査を行った。具体的には、3社が米国特許商標庁に出願した特許について、米国特許商標庁ホームページ、SumoBrain Solutions社の検索サービス「Free Patent Online」ホームページ、非営利団体Cambiaの提供する検索サービスである「The Lens」ホームページからデータを収集し、共同研究開発の全体的なパターンや重点技術分野等の推移に関して若干の分析を行っている。この分析からは、近年はより共同研究開発が増加傾向にあり、また製品に求められる技術もより多様になっていることが明らかにされている。こうした分析結果の一部は執筆した論文の中で公表している。
