本年度は，新型コロナウィルス感染症の流行が次第に軽減されたことに伴い，ようやく本格的に調査・研究を行うことができた。１）スパイラル鋼管製造企業のサプライチェーンについて国内拠点とベトナム拠点を比較する論文を公表した。スパイラル鋼管についてのベトナムでの市場創造の進捗とその限界を具体的に解明できた。２）事例研究の対象企業を共英製鋼グループに絞り，対象時期を1990年代以降と改めて設定し，社史，社内誌等の資料を系統的に収集し，読み込みを行った。３）共英製鋼株式会社のベトナム進出経過についての本社ヒアリングを2回にわたって実施した。ヒアリング結果は，非公開の調査記録２点（約4万8000字）として整理した。４）ベトナム鉄鋼業の現状と，共英製鋼グループの事業展開について現地調査を実施した。事前のアポイントメント取り，質問状の作成には1か月以上を要し，実際の調査は10日間（ベトナム滞在9日間）にわたった。ベトナム南部，北部にまたがる12事業所でインタビュー・工場見学調査を行い，結果を非公開の調査記録（約6万5000字）として整理した。これらの調査結果により，共英製鋼グループのベトナム進出の背景，事業展開の経過，技術移転と市場開拓に関する事実関係を，公表資料だけでは明らかにならない貴重な部分を含めて把握できた。そして，これらを調査報告書にまとめたことにより，事業展開の時期区分と特徴，理論的・実践的意義についての分析を進めることが可能となった。そして，研究期間の1年間の延長を受けて，研究を完成させて学会報告・論文公表を行う展望が開けた。
