2022年度は、2021年度の研究方向性を続きながら、ポストコロナ時代以降のより応答性や関連性の高いものになるようにした。海外での新型コロナのパンデミックが大学生の学業、健康、将来の計画に与える影響についての迅速な調査を実施した。海外での研究協力者と協力し、ベトナム（ハノイ国立教育大学、国立農業大学、タイビン医科薬科大学）、ブルガリア（Veliko Tarnovo大学）、バングラデシュ（Rajshahi大学）、タイ（Burapha大学）でオンライン調査を実施した。さらに、留学生を対象に、ストレス予防セミナーの新モデルを実施した。パンデミックの前とパンデミック最中の国内外での留学生のサポートと満足度、レジリエンスを強化し、留学生にメンタルヘルスサポート体制や事例に関する文献レビューを実施した。2022年4月から留学生が日本に入国できるようになると、「留学生の日本への留学動機づけ調査」の方向性にも戻った。 日本語を勉強するために来日を決めた理由、意思決定プロセスに影響を与えていた理由、日本滞在中の優先目標、学校選択の好みや日本での就職の意思について、質的および量的方法を使用して小規模な調査を実施した。その後、調査ツールを改良し、ベトナム等での調査を実施した。上記の結果を複数の学術論文や国際学会で発表した。
