项目摘要

交通事故や労働災害発生の主要な背景要因である、安全規則違反の抑止には法規制などの罰、目標達成への報酬、安全教育などが主に対策として実施されている。本申請研究では新たな視点として、「人の心理面から違反抑止に作用する効果的なメッセージ表現とはか？」を明らかにする。従来、標識などによる違反抑止のメッセージ表現は、「〇〇禁止」のような禁止・命令型が多いが、ここでは「〇〇ありがとう」という感謝型メッセージ表現、すなわち感謝－返報という人間の互恵性心理に着目し違反抑止を動機づけるという新たな抑止策を提案する。そこで本申請課題では、以下3点を目的とする研究を実施することとした。目的Ⅰ．ドライビングシミュレータを用いた仮想環境場面において、感謝メッセージと禁止メッセージを伴う標識を提示し、参加者の実行動パフォーマンスの比較から感謝のメッセージ表現の違反抑制効果について検討する。目的Ⅱ．感謝メッセージにより生じた違反抑制効果は、メッセージの設置されていない状況においても波及するのか、また他の違反抑止にも般化するのかについて検討する。目的Ⅲ．感謝メッセージの効果について、仮想環境場面のみならず現実場面でも有効であるのかを、実際の鉄道踏切場面において検討する。研究の1年目、2年目ではドライビングシミュレータを用いた実験を実施し、感謝メッセージの違反抑制効果について検討した結果、感謝メッセージの標識提示条件でのみ、時間経過に伴う速度上昇を抑止する、ということが明らかにされた。ただし実験1，2では実験参加者が学生であったことや、制限速度を50km/hのみに設定したことなどが問題点と残り、研究3年目では引き続きドライビングシミュレータを用いてそれら問題点を検討するため、実験を実施した。
