Diffusional properties of proteins in a bacterial cell (P16)

本研究的目的是定量表征革兰氏阴性菌的所有四个亚细胞区室中的蛋白质扩散。使用肠道细菌大肠杆菌作为模式生物，我们将研究不同大小和形状的蛋白质的流动性如何受到细胞环境和细胞状态以及环境因素的影响。这种分析应该提供定量的见解组织的细菌细胞，从而使更精确的数学描述的时空动态的细胞过程。

The aim of this study is to quantitatively characterize protein diffusion in all four sub-cellular compartments of Gram-negative bacteria. Using gut bacterium Escherichia coli as a model organism, we will study how mobility of proteins of different size and shape is affected by cellular environment and cellular state as well as by environmental factors. This analysis should provide quantitative insights into organization of a bacterial cell and thereby to enable more precise mathematical description of spatiotemporal dynamics of cellular processes.
