项目摘要

2020年度は、2019年度までに英国リーズ大学やアメリカ議会図書館、アムステルダム神智学図書館で収集した史料や、関連するテクストの読み込みと分析を行い、以下の論文を執筆した。それぞれ、ジャーナルに投稿あるいは博士論文の一部として成果を発表した。一つ目は、アーサー・コナン・ドイルの著作The Coming of the Fairies（1922）の分析である。先行研究ではドイルの心霊主義的著作の一つとして扱われてきたこのテクストを、同時代の論理哲学者チャールズ・サンダース・パースが提唱する科学的推論と比較し、類似性を指摘した。2019年度投稿したものの掲載に至らなかったこの論文は、加筆修正のうえ2月に国立台湾大学の発行する国際ジャーナルEx-positionに投稿し、現在査読審査中である。二つ目は、神智学者エドワード・ガードナーが妖精写真について記述したFairies: The Cottingley Photographs and Their Sequel (1945)を、アムステルダム神智学図書館や宇都宮妖精美術館にて収集した史料と併せて分析した。ここでは、ガードナーによる妖精目撃談及び妖精写真についての語りの特殊性を、同時代の一般的なオカルティズムのテクストとの比較によって指摘し、2020年度に提出した博士論文の第五章として展開した。現在は、学会誌に投稿する予定でさらに加筆修正を施している。以上の論文執筆に加え、今年の7月に青弓社から出版される『コティングリー妖精事件――イギリス妖精写真の新事実』では、第4章「新史料に見る「コティングリー妖精写真事件」の再演、再構成の可能性」において、以前に宇都宮妖精美術館にて調査した新史料がもつ意義を、妖精研究及びコティングリー妖精写真事件の先行研究の変遷のなかに位置づけながら論じた。

In 2020 and 2019, the British University of Science and Technology Library collected historical materials, related information and analysis, and wrote the following papers. A part of the doctoral thesis is published. The Coming of the Fairies (1922) The first study of the works of the doctrine of the heart is to compare and criticize the scientific inference of the contemporary logical philosophers. The 2019 Annual Submission is published in the Journal of International Studies at National Taiwan University in February. Fairies: The Cottingley Photographs and Their Sequel (1945) is a collection of historical materials collected and analyzed by the Theological Library and the Utsunomiya Fairy Art Museum. The fifth chapter of the doctoral thesis proposed in 2020 is to be launched. Now, the society will submit the paper to the predetermined time, add the pen correction to apply the time. The above papers were written in July of this year, and were published by Qinggong Society. Chapter 4,"New Historical Materials,""Replay and Reconstitution of the Fairy Photo Event," was published in July of this year. The significance of the previous investigation in the Utsunomiya Fairy Art Museum was discussed. The study of goblins and the advance study of goblins and the change of their positions are discussed.
