项目摘要

2020年度は、《甲冑姿のコジモ一世の肖像》（1543年、ウフィツィ美術館、フィレンツェ）の制作背景およびフィレンツェにおける受容の観点からさらに検討を進めた。制作背景については、前年度の研究から画家と北イタリア美術の接点がウルビーノ宮廷滞在に求められると考えたため、同宮廷で制作された《アポロンとマルシュアス》（エルミタージュ美術館）を中心にウルビーノの美術的趣味を分析することで、北イタリアのみならずアルプス以北の美術との関連性を明らかにした。これにより従来フィレンツェ美術の枠組みの中でのみ検討されてきた画家の絵画様式の新たないち側面を解明することができたと考える。以上の成果は第73回美術史学会全国大会（於慶應義塾大学）にて口頭発表を行なった。《コジモの肖像》の受容については、影響関係を想定しているサルヴィアーティによる肖像画との関連性について考察を進めた。新型コロナウィルス感染症の感染拡大による海外調査の中止により、当初予定していたサルヴィアーティ作品の筆触や細部の質感描写に焦点を当てた実見観察とそれに基づく《コジモの肖像》との様式的分析を行うことができなかった。そのため本年度はこの二作品に共通するモデルのポーズに着目し、15、16世紀フィレンツェおよび北イタリアで活動した画家のモノグラフや展覧会図録、研究文献を博捜し、類似するポーズをとる肖像画作品の特定を試みた。これにより当該ポーズの源泉および画家の着想源を特定し、さらにフィレンツェにおける同ポーズの変遷過程の仮説を立てるに至った。
