项目摘要

2022年度の主な実績は次の論文である。新名隆志（2023）「ニーチェにおける自由と責任――彼はそれらの何を否定し，何を肯定したのか」『鹿児島大学教育学部研究紀要人文・社会科学編』74。本論文の目的は二つある。一つは，自由意志と道徳的責任についてのニーチェの思想が，現代の自由意志と道徳的責任の哲学の文脈においてどのような位置づけをもつかを明らかにすることである。本論文は，ニーチェが自由意志の哲学における「究極性論証」と同様の議論を提示しており，その点において，彼を自由意志と道徳的責任の懐疑論者として，非両立論的立場に位置づけることができるということを従来の研究以上に明確に示した。もう一つの目的は，ニーチェがそのような懐疑論者でありながらなお肯定的に語る「責任」とは何かについて従来の研究以上に明確で説得的な解釈を提示することである。本論文は，『道徳の系譜学』第二論文の良心論に依拠し，ニーチェが肯定する「責任」とは，自分の意志するものを意志しうるようになった自律的個人が，自分の意志するものにコミットすること，そのように自分に約束すること，このことにおいて自分の「良心」をもつことを意味すると解釈した。この意味での「責任」は，賞罰責任としての道徳的責任とは異なり，道徳の軛から解き放たれた「主権的個人」において初めて可能となる，非道徳化された責任である。本論文の内容は，自由と責任の批判というニーチェの道徳批判の重要な一面について，先行研究をふまえてこれまで以上に根拠のある明確な解釈を提示するものであり，ニーチェの道徳思想の解明を目的とする本研究課題にとって大きな意義をもつものである。
