项目摘要

【調査・研究交流】入国制限の解除が進む欧米地域を中心に、延期していた渡航調査を実施した。ドイツおよびイタリアでは、離散中国人インタビューと作品収集、在外アサイラムに対する調査を進めた。またカッセル・ドクメンタ、ベルリン・ビエンナーレ、ベネチア・ビエンナーレという大型国際展を調査し、それぞれにおける中国作品、またパンデミック前後の政治と芸術の位相変化について重要な知見を得た。またベネチアでは艾未未最新展示の準備行程も調査した。米国では、世界有数の実験映画祭であるAnn Arbor Film Festivalでの監督インタビューと作品鑑賞を通して、急増する離散中国人監督の世代ごとの創作の特質把握に努めた。またミシガン大学でChris Hill氏の授業およびGerman Studies Colloquium "documenta debate debrief"にゲスト参加し、東アジア映画の文化表象、カッセル・ドクメンタにおける政治と芸術に関する意見交換を行った。日本国内では東京国際映画祭、東京Filmex、イメージフォーラム・フェスティバル、山形ドキュメンタリー道場、大阪アジアン映画祭等で、オンラインでは草場地工作站、母親影展、Cathayplay、Finger Lakes環境映画祭等で、中国作品および監督の調査を進めた。【成果発表】AAS Virtualラウンドテーブル参加、草場地工作站（中国・オンライン）、京都大学、青山学院大学、座・高円寺ドキュメンタリー・フェスティバル等での招待公演、映像演劇に関する論文執筆等を通してこれまでの研究成果を発信し、国内外の各方面から一定の反響を得た(「備考」参照)。また神奈川大学で諏訪敦彦、山城知佳子、章夢奇の各氏を招聘したディスカッションおよび上映会「Storied Environments ― 物語る環境」を企画、共催し、劇映画・現代美術・ドキュメンタリーの最前線を担う、日本と中国の創作者の議論を交錯させる機会を創出した。
