In academic year 2022 a comprehensive study of relative clauses in Saterland Frisian was written based on an analysis of transcribed unscripted recordings alongside other written sources. Using corpus search tools (esp. AntConc), a breakdown of all the main relative clause types that could be found was completed. This study carefully differentiated usage in 19th- and 20th-century varieties, spoken and written styles, and dealt with aspects of dialectal variation within Saterland Frisian as well as with related languages, such as West Frisian, North Frisian, and Low German. The manuscript has been submitted to an edited volume in the NOWELE Supplement Series, with the principal investigator (Laker) as main author and Pyt Kramer, who made many of the fieldwork recordings and/or transcriptions, as minor contributor. The expected date of publication is 2024. Preparations for a third article - this time on Saterland Frisian constituent order in spoken language - were made. In this academic year I also had more contact with Eric Hoesksta, Bouke Slofstra and Henk Wolf, who are coordinating various related projects on Saterland Frisian, which will result in more collaborations in 2023 including an event where I will make a presentation in June.
