项目摘要

コロナ禍による規制が一部解除され、現地を訪問することができた。現地では、これまで関係を維持してきた研究協力者や調査対象者たちと複数回の面会を行い、これまでの遅れを取り戻しつつ、現地調査を再開するための手続きについて議論した。具体的には、サラワク大学の研究者や、調査アシスタント、現地のキーパーソンなどを相手に、アブラヤシ産業に関わるコロナ禍における状況の変化についての聞取りを行い、関連する情報源を収集した。また2023年度の現地調査としては、サラワク州ビントゥル県を中心に、プランテーションや小農におけるインドネシア人労働者の動向や、認証制度の浸透プロセスについての調査を行うことを予定している。年末までは、国内で得られた情報をもとに、次年度以降の調査設計を行った。新聞記事や統計情報によると、コロナ禍によりアブラヤシ産業の人手不足が進行してきただけでなく、アブラヤシに依存しすぎない小農のオルタナティブが具体的に模索されつつあることが明らかになってきた。このような変化が、サラワクの焼畑民・狩猟民の社会にどのような影響をもたらすのか、隣地調査を行うと同時に、従来の小農論を渉猟しつつ、ここ数年の変化を理論的に解釈しなおすための枠組み設定を行ってきた。一方、コロナ禍以前に収集した情報を整理しなおし、2件の論文投稿を行った。具体的には、『福井県立大学論集』と『空間・社会・地理思想』への投稿である。いずれも、共同研究者である加藤裕美氏との共著として投稿した。
