项目摘要

2022年度は依然として新型コロナウイルス感染症の影響が大きかった。パンデミックに関しては個人ではどうすることもできないので発想を変え、海外で実地調査が行えない時間を活用し、研究や研究背景について文章化し、日本語／英語で論文／原稿を書くことに引き続き時間を割いた。日本・アフリカ関係という切り口から、サブサハラアフリカにおける「平和構築」を取り巻く国際情勢の変化について整理した。この原稿はRoutledgeから編著本Japan and Its Partners in the Indo-Pacific: Engagements and Alignments（2023年公刊）として出版された。また、「平和構築の力学」に関係する単著論文も執筆した（2023年度中に公刊予定）。上記2つの原稿に一区切りがついたので、今後は（１）2022年3月に行った国際シンポジウムを基にした編著本、（２）本研究の背景に関する編著本、そして（３）本研究に関する単著本の計3冊の準備を進めている。本報告書を書いている2023年春時点においては、幸い、パンデミックを乗り越え少しずつ日常を取り戻しつつあるように感じる。他方、コロナ禍に加えてウクライナ侵攻による物価高騰の影響もあり、航空券などがパンデミック前よりも値上がりしている。このような状況を踏まえると、フィールドワークに関しては当初の予定通りの形での実施は難しいかもしれない。どのような形で・何ができるのかについては、慎重に検討していきたい。
