项目摘要

本研究の目的は逐次探索的な選択行動について、経済主体の行動原理を顕示選好理論の観点から分析することである。逐次探索的な選択行動とは選択肢がリスト状に並んでいるような場面での意思決定問題であり、予約サイトで表示されたホテルのリストを上から順番に検討しながら宿泊先を決定するような場面がそれに該当する。2022年度においては、2021年に着想を得たランダム効用を前提とした顕示選好テストの構築をさらに発展させることができた。中でも、逐次探索モデル含む限定合理性モデルの文脈でよく知られているSatisficing modelとそのいくつかの拡張形について、ランダム効用を前提とし、かつ実証分析に耐えうる形での明快な特徴づけを得られた。Satisficing modelについてはそのモデルの単純さと拡張性から公理論的意思決定理論を中心に様々な研究成果が得られているが、本研究はそれを実証的顕示選好理論の観点から扱っている点に新規性がある。例えば、本研究による特徴づけでは、行動データは論理的に可能なリストのうちいくつかで観測されていれば良いのであって、その構造に特別な仮定は要求されない（意思決定理論の文脈では論理的に可能なリスト全ての上での行動パターンを前提にした特徴づけをするのが一般的）。例えば選択肢が20個しかない設定でも論理的に可能なリストの数は20!≒2.4×10^18個存在し、それら全てで十分なデータが観測されるとは考えづらい。この点一つとっても今回得られた特徴づけには十分な意義があると考えられる。また、探索深度の上限であったり、satisficing levelの探索深度への依存といった、実際の意思決定の場面で自然と考えられる一般化まで想定できている点も併せて強調して良いと考えられる。
