2022年度も当初はコロナの感染拡大が収束しなかったため、調査や研究ができなかった。しかし、9月以降は海外渡航の制限緩和や外国のコロナ対策の緩和が見込まれたことと、研究者の所属大学の制限緩和も進んだため、10月からの調査再開を打ち合わせた。また、3年ぶりに研究者達が対面で研究の打合せを行い、アンケート調査の回答企業のリストアップを行った。その後、それら企業と海外進出支援機関の現地事務所との調整を実施を、2023年1月から開始する予定であったが、一人の研究者の配偶者が入院することとなり、家庭の事情で長期の出張ができなくなった。その事情は、3月末まで解決しなかったので2022年度の研究はまったく進まなかった。本来は2022年度で終了予定であったが、そうした事情から1年の延期を申請した。
