2022年度は『スウェーデンにおける「交替居住する孫世代」が築く世代間支援関係に関する研究』の1年目としてスウェーデン調査を計画した。このスウェーデン調査は当初2020年度と2021年度の2か年計画であったが、新型コロナ感染拡大により2020年度と2021年度連続で調査が不可能となったことから2年延期されており、2022年度調査はスウェーデン調査の1年目として実施予定であった。調査の内容は、主には、親の離婚を経験した若い世代を対象とするインタビューであり、交替居住する孫世代が祖父母世代との関係を主体的・選好的に築いている実態を、交替居住の条件など多様な視角からとらえることを目指した。2021年度の研究推進方策においては、調査地として大都市圏ストックホルム市も加えるとしているが、ひとつの地域で十分な調査件数を確保することに傾注するため、当初計画通り、エステルスンド市のみで調査をすることとした。調査の実施のために、現地の研究協力者との連絡調整を重ね、事前準備を行なってきたが、新型コロナ感染の波が繰り返し押し寄せるなかでスウェーデンへの渡航を断念せざるをえないこととなり、さらに現地の研究協力者の生活・健康事情もあり、海外調査が不可能となった。2019年度より行ってきた国内調査（インタビュー）の継続実施も困難であった。そこで、2022年度は、海外調査について、現地の研究協力者のアドバイスを得ながら計画を変更し、当初予定していたインタビュー調査を質問紙調査の様式に切り替え、調査協力者の確保と配布を依頼した。交替居住の経験をもつ若い世代を対象としており、①交替居住の内容と受けとめ方、②交替居住していたときの祖父母や祖父母以外の人々との関係、③交替居住が家族についての考え方に与えた影響、を探る内容となっている。研究協力者と連絡をとりながら、現在、調査を継続中である。
