本研究では，被疑者取調べにおける弁護人の立会い制度（以下，「立会い制度」）について①海外研究のレビューを行って立会い制度の実情やその効果検証について知見を収集し，②立会い制度による被疑者，取調官への心的効果についての実験的検証，③立会い制度下での被疑者取調べの録音・録画記録（以下，「可視化記録」）における映像の効果を検証し，その取扱いについての実験的検証を行うことで，日本における立会い制度の導入必要性と運用可能性について検討し，適切な制度運用について提言を行うことを目指している。2022年度は②について取調官への心的効果の実験的検証を行った2020年度の検証結果の再分析を行った。本実験では参加者は模擬取調べ場面において取調官役となり，被疑者役の俳優に対して取調べを行った。その際，弁護人役の俳優が立ち会う条件と立ち会わない条件を設けた。取調べ中，弁護人は発言せず，被疑者の斜め後ろに着席した。取調べ前，参加者は事件の概要の書かれた書類を読み，被疑者が犯人かどうか，判断した。取調べは20分の時間制限を設けた。取調べ後，参加者は被疑者が犯人かどうかを判断し，取調べ時に感じたことなどを尋ねる質問紙に回答した。取調べの様子は録音・録画を行った。取調べの録音・録画内容について分析を行ったところ，立会いの有無による取調官の発話数には差がみられないことが示唆された。
