本年度も昨年度に引き続き，新型コロナウイルス感染症の世界的まん延が収束に至らなかったため，カナダでの聞き取り調査は断念せざるを得なかった。その代わりに文献による調査を実施した。本研究のテーマにかかわる研究発表を行うとともに，２０２３年度に刊行される書籍への寄稿を行った。詳細は以下の通り。１　カナダの地方都市や農村部への移民流入に関する学術文献の収集するとともに閲読した。２　カナダ大西洋沿岸地域（ノバスコシア州，プリンス・エドワード・アイランド州，ニューブランズウィック州，ニューファンドランド・ラブラドール州）における移民受入・定住促進にかかわる一次資料(連邦政府及び州政府の文書）および二次資料（研究者やシンクタンクによる先行研究および新聞や雑誌記事）の収集・分析を行った。3 　２０２３年３月３日に愛媛大学で開催された２０２２年度「移住と共生」研究会において「移民を地方へ呼び込むーカナダにおける移民地方化政策の動向ー」と題した報告を実施し、その中でノバスコシア州を中心にカナダ大西洋沿岸地域への移民の流入および移民政策の動向について言及した。４　２０２３年度刊行予定の徳田剛・二階堂裕子・魁生由美子編著『地方発　多文化共生のしくみづくり』（晃洋書房）に「移民を地方へーカナダの取り組みー」と題した原稿を寄稿した。本稿では、カナダにおいて地方への流入を促す施策が展開されている動向を、カナダ大西洋沿岸地域で展開されている施策にも言及しながら明らかにした。
