项目摘要

本研究は、「多様な言語文化背景をもつ子どもたち」の教科学習支援のための基礎的研究であり、「多様な言語文化背景をもつ子どもたち」の教科学習を指導・支援する教師・支援者の指導の一助を提供することを目的としている。子どもたちは、教科学習における抽象的な語や概念の理解につまずき、学習につまずくことがある。その抽象的な語や概念の背後には、概念レベルのメタファーが存在することがある。しかし、概念レベルのメタファーであるがゆえに、子どもたちだけでなく、その教育に携わる教師・支援者にもメタファーであることが気づかれにくく、それがつまづきの原因であることや理解を促すための特別な配慮を必要とすることが認識できないことがあると想定される。そこで、本研究は、教科書に現れる「メタファー表現」を抽出し、その背後にある「概念メタファー」を明らかにして、データベース化して公開することを目指している。2022年度は、引き続きメタファー表現の抽出・概念メタファーの認定を進めたが、複雑な作業に時間がかかり完了には至っていない。また、リスト化にあたって、複数のメタファーが多層的に関与している表現も少なくない、高学年ではより汎用的なメタファーが認定されるが低学年のメタファーはそれに包含されるような限定的なものであるといったことを考慮する必要があり、メタファー表現・概念メタファーをどこまで、いかにリスト化して提示するかについて、引き続き検討を進めた。
