2018年度は，アメリカ合衆国・ラトガーズ大学での在外研究を経て，これまでの研究の総括を行なった．とりわけ以下の3つの点について集中的に分析をし，知見の報告を行なった．第一に相互行為における異文化性の組織について，第二に相互行為において立ち現れるインストラクション活動の組織について，第三に相互行為における知覚の様相について研究を行なった．これらの成果は，(1)相互行為における異文化性にかんする論考は，査読付き国際雑誌である『国際・異文化コミュニケーション雑誌 (Journal of International and Intercultural Communication)』にて掲載された．この論考はすでにウィスコンシン大学およびノースイースタン大学の異文化コミュニケーションの授業の課題図書になっている．(2)相互行為におけるインストラクションにかんする論考は，査読を経て学際的な国際雑誌の権威の１つである『語用論雑誌 (Journal of Pragmatics)』にて掲載された．(3)相互行為における道具の使用にかんしては，とくに相互行為における書くことおよび描くことに着目した．知見は，国際学会（『国際会話分析学会』，『全米コミュニケーション学会』，『第二言語相互行為シンポジウム』ほか）にて報告された．また現在，相互行為における書くことおよび描くことにかんする2つの論考が査読付き国際雑誌に投稿中である．(4)これらの研究の成果は，博士論文としてまとめられ，2月に千葉大学大学院人文社会科学研究科に提出された．
