VD18-3 / UB Rostock – Digitisation and Indexing of Printed Material Published in the 18th Century in the German-Speaking Areas from the Collections of Rostock University Library and State Library Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Günther Uecker

The project is part of the national program „Digitisation and Indexing of Printed Material Published in the 18th Century in the German-Speaking Areas” (VD 18). The aim of the project is, 1) to catalogue according to the national bibliographic standard the prints assigned to Rostock University Library and State Library Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Gunther Uecker from the VD18 coordination database, and 2) to provide high quality digital images on the internet according to the relevant DFG standards and rules. Altogether, Rostock University Library will catalogue and digitise about 5,400 monographs and 300 journal volumes with about 786,000 Images and catalogue another 1,000 monographs with already existing digital facsimiles.
