本研究は、両大戦間期チェコの論壇において活躍したジャーナリスト、ミレナ・イェセンスカー（1896-1944）とチェコ・モダニズムを代表する芸術家らとの人的ネットワークおよび相互の思想的影響関係を解き明かすことを目的とするものである。初年度である2022年度は当初、芸術家集団デヴィエトスィル（1920-1931）やその構成メンバーに関する研究やイェセンスカーに関する研究において断片的に垣間見られるその関係性について、資料を整理・分析することで明らかにし、人的ネットワークを明示することが計画であった。そのために、チェコ及びアメリカの図書館や資料館に赴き資料を入手する予定であったが、新型コロナの影響を受け、報告者の居住地域特有の事情（県を跨ぐ移動さえ憚られる）と経済状況（コロナ禍と戦争の影響による渡航費の高騰）を鑑み、渡航を断念せざるを得なかった。したがって、初年度（2022年度）は、入手済みの回想録や学術書をもとに人的ネットワークの一端を把握することにとどめ、一部の関係性を整理し、次年度以降の調査に備えることとした。具体的には、デヴィエトスィルの初期のメンバーで後のノーベル文学賞受賞者（1984年）のヤロスラフ・サイフェルトの回想録や、当時の代表的ジャーナリストでイェセンスカーの同僚、フェルディナント・ペロウトカとユダヤ系ドイツ語作家ヨハネス・ウルジヂルの対談による回想録の精読を出発点とし、デヴィエトスィルの中心人物でイェセンスカーの友人、カレル・タイゲに関する研究書や、デヴィエトスィルのメンバーでイェセンスカーの同僚、アドルフ・ホフマイステルの著書を整理・分析し、交流関係の広がりや深さの一部を確認し、同時に、次年度以降に調査・収集を行う対象や資料について整理した。
