2022年度は長野県松本市，東京都八王子市，富山県南砺市を対象に，音楽に関する実践の事例を現地調査した。松本市は楽都をキャッチフレーズに地域づくりを推進しており，国際的音楽イベントのセイジ・オザワ・松本フェスティバルをはじめ，音楽に関する事物が展開されている。本年度は，まずセイジ・オザワ・松本フェスティバルに関する取組みを調査した。その結果，イベント自体は夏季の約一カ月間の開催であるが，市内にはイベントに関連する景観が年間を通して展開されており，地域資源として音楽が重要な意義を持つことを明らかにした。また，松本市はエレキギターの製造が全国で最も盛んであることから，楽器製造と地域の関係を調査した。その結果，近年は楽器製造企業の集積地であるという特徴に関連した取組みがみられ，地域資源として活用され始めている様子が確認できた。本成果は地域研究年報45にて公表した。八王子市では市内の公立小・中学校の校歌を対象に，校歌に表現される地域をテキストマイニングの手法を用いて明らかにした。これまで校歌と地域の関係は，学校の立地する場所との関係で検討されてきたが，本研究では場所に加え，校歌が作成された時代が地域に関する表現の有無に影響していることが示唆された。本成果は地理空間15巻2号にて発表した。南砺市の事例では，ワールドミュージックが地域の音楽へと受容される過程を調査した。南砺市ではワールドミュージックの音楽イベントが1991年から開催されており，回数を重ねる中で地域住民による音楽実践も始まった。現在のイベントには多数の住民が参加しており，地域にとって重要なイベントとなっていることを確認した。
