具体的内容本研究では、2~5歳児の足部の形状と歩容の調査（横断研究）・2歳児が5歳になるまでの3年間の足部・歩容・運動習慣・生活環境の調査（前向きコホート）を行なっている。令和4年度は、足部の形状調査に必要な機器（INFOOT2）と歩様の調査に必要な機器（gaitup）を購入し、大学内で準備研究を行なった。INFOOT２の購入に伴い、専用のソフトウェアを購入した。さらに、研究協力施設獲得のため複数の保育園に連絡をとり、2つの保育園グループ（愛知県のグループ・関東近辺のグループ）から継続的な協力を得ることができた。引き続き研究協力施設の獲得のため各所に連絡を行う予定である。令和4年度に、愛知県のグループにて22名分のデータ収集を行なった。今年度以降もデータ収集を行う。関東近辺のグループでは令和５年度からデータ収集を行う。令和4年度の研究成果の発表を、令和５年度の日本小児理学療法学会学術大会（北海道）で発表予定である。意義・重要性機器の限界により、乳幼児の足部に対して十分な評価がされてこなかったことが原因の一つである。また、幼児の足の形状と歩行に関しても機器の要因により乳幼児に対して十分な評価がされてこなかった。しかし、上記機器により幼児の足部・歩様の評価が可能となり、各年齢の足部の形状と歩行の基礎的データ、偏平足が残存する児の特徴、乳幼児における足部の形状と歩容の関係を明らかにすることが可能となった。現時点で１年分の足部データが収集されており、今後、偏平足の予防に対するアプローチや足育において必要な知見となる。
