本研究は、頭頸部癌患者において、嚥下訓練支援アプリを使用し十分な嚥下訓練が行うことで、QOL、嚥下機能、栄養状態を早期に回復させ、より早い社会復帰を目指すことを目的としている。コロナの影響もあり、アプリ開発に関しては遅れているが、学会での情報収集において、従来の嚥下訓練患者との比較についても必要性を認めたため、従来の訓練を行っている患者のデータも取り始めた。現在、従来の訓練方法で嚥下訓練を行っている患者で研究に同意いただいた患者は約10名程度である。これらの患者では機能面、QOL共に頭頸部癌治療後1か月後に低下を認めていた。今後は、早急にアプリ開発を進めていき、スマートフォン用アプリを使用して嚥下訓練を行った患者における嚥下機能およびQOLの変化を追っていく予定である。
