项目摘要

本研究は、関係人口との協働を持続可能にするために求められる地域社会のシステムを提示することを目的としている。従来の研究は、関係人口の意義や具体的な創出手法といった初期段階が中心であり、次なる段階として、関係人口との地域の協働の持続可能性に着眼することが必要であると考えた。初年度は、調査研究の基礎となる関係人口や観光社会学、地域社会学関連の文献・資料の収集、分析に取り組みながら、あらためて今後5年間の調査や研究計画の具体的な設計を行った。計画申請時には新型コロナウイルス感染拡大の影響で現地調査を行うことが難しいと想定し、オンラインの活用や島根県内・近隣地域での調査を検討していたものの、年度後半になって新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大状況も落ち着いてきたこともあり、島根県内外での現地調査を行うことができた。まず、関係人口との協働を実施している新潟県の団体の関係者を対象に、（１）現場の担当者にオンラインでヒアリングを実施、（２）同じ団体の立ち上げ期から関係人口との協働の制の設計にかかわった担当者を訪問してヒアリングを実施、（３）秋田県でも個人で関係人口との協働に取り組んでいる実践者を対象に、現地調査とヒアリングを実施することができた。また、当初計画していた島根県邑南町でもフィールドワークを実施した。これらの調査の成果の一部について、地域社会学会において研究発表を行ったほか、それに基づいて論文執筆し、翌年度に学会誌に掲載される予定となっている。
