研究者が所属する大阪大学精神科ですでに構築済みであった認知症の臨床データベースに、令和4年度に新たに当科を受診した右優位萎縮例の意味性認知症（semantic dementia: SD）の症例を2例登録した。これらの新規登録例と、すでに当科通院中であったフォロー例に対して、認知機能検査であるMini-Mental State Examination（MMSE）やAddenbrooke's Cognitive Examination（ACE-R）、Frontal Assessment Battery（FAB）、認知症者の行動・心理症状（Behavioral and Psychological Symptom of Dementia: BPSD）全般を評価するNeuropsychiatric Inventory（NPI）やStereotypy Rating Inventory（SRI）、ケンブリッジ行動質問表、重症度評価尺度であるClinical Dementia Rating（CDR）、神経画像検査の頭部MRIや脳血流SPECTを実施した。また対照群となる左優位萎縮例のSDの症例に対しても、同様に上記の臨床評価項目を実施した。並行して、登録例に対してPET製剤（MK-6240）を用いたタウPETを実施する研究を行うための倫理申請を行った。大阪大学医学部附属病院と、タウPETを実施する近畿大学にて倫理申請を行い、承認を得た。近畿大学でタウPETを行うための契約を締結し、随時登録例を近畿大学へ紹介して検査を実施する準備が整っている。
