1 研究目的多文化共生の社会では, 説得力のある意見が求められる。そこで, 自らの意見を吟味して説得力を高めることができる生徒の育成のために, 学習指導要領の「意見形成」に関する指導事項に重点を置いた単元を開発する。また併せて自分の意見を組み立てるためのビジュアルツールと, 意見交流活動での生徒相互のモニタリングの有用性を検証する。2 研究方法文学的作品(小説)を読み, 「課題に対する意見をもつ段階」と「意見を吟味し説得力を高める段階」を連携させ, 「話すこと・聞くこと」に関わる言語活動を含んだ各学年8時間程度の単元を開発する。問題解決ボックスやマンダラマップなどのビジュアルツールを使ったワークシートを作成して「意見形成」を促す。また問答型の意見交流活動をタブレットPCで録画し, それをもとに意見の変容や妥当性を分析する。そして, 「意見形成」及び説得力に関する意識の変容等を映像・表現物・テスト・事前事後アンケートの結果で検証する。3 研究成果各学年8時間の単元を開発した。第1学年ではピラミッドチャートを使って『少年の日の思い出』(ヘルマン・ヘッセ)を読み, 登場人物へのインタビュー記事を書いた。第2学年では問題解決ボックスを使って『走れメロス』(太宰治)を読み, 主題に迫るポスターセッションを行った。第3学年ではマンダラマップを使って『故郷』を読み, 結末の表現に込められた作者の意図をふまえ書評を書いた。ビジュアルツールを使うと比較・関連付け・順序付けなど, 自分の思考の流れが可視化でき, 生徒は自分の意見を比較的容易にまとめることができていた。欠落した部分も明確になるので, 意見の説得力を高める一助となった。また, 意見交流会をタブレットPCで撮影して, 自分の意見を分析することは評価の即時性もあり生徒の学習意欲を喚起した。生徒の意見の変容の過程やアンケート結果から, 文章を読み意見をもつことへの苦手意識の解消, 意見交流することの意義の理解, 意見の説得力を高める方法の習得について成果が見られた。
