1.研究目的近年は様々な子育て支援の取り組みが行われているが、子どもだけでなく親自身が育つことを支える実践を行っている保育施設がいくつかある。そのような保育施設では、職員が親を支援するだけでなく、親同士の支えあいの関係(ピア・サポート関係)によって子育てを支援する実践が行われている。本研究では親同士の支えあいの関係が構築されている保育施設で、新入園の親がどのように親同士の関係を築いていくのか、また、その関係の中で親同士がどのように支えあって子育てをしているのかという点に注目した。2.研究方法調査対象の保育施設において、新入園児の親が、他の親とどのような関わりによって支えられているのか、アンケート、インタビュー、ビデオ定点撮影による観察を通して親のピア・サポート関係の構築過程や内容を明らかにする。3.結果ピア・サポート関係構築の過程では保育施設での在籍年数が長い親が、新しく入園した親に積極的に声かけをして関係を築いていっており、親の先輩としてのアドバイスというよりも、まず同じ親という立場で悩みや喜びなどの、ありのままの感情を共有するという関わりによって、新しい親との信頼関係をつくっていることが明らかになった。アンケートやインタビューからは、自分が気付かなかったわが子の良いところを褒めてくれることが励みになること、先輩保護者の生き生きした姿が目標になったこと、不安な時に先の見通しを示してくれたことなど、親同士の支え合いが子育てに良い影響を与えていることが読み取れた。このような結果から、保育施設において職員が親を支援することに加えて、親同士の支えあいの関係(ピア・サポート関係)が構築できる環境を意図的につくっていくことで、子育てを支える力をより大きなものにすることが出来ると考えられる。
