Late medieval and especially early modern records of the episcopal territory in Westphalia, the Duchy of Westphalia, which are kept in both a state and a municipal archives, are to be digitized from the original.The records kept in the Landesarchiv Nordrhein-Westfalen, Abteilung Westfalen at Münster, and the municipal archives at Arnsberg are to be digitized by service providers. The digital images will be referenced with the finding aids provided in the portals "archive.nrw.de" and "Archivportal D" and are thus accessible. The aim is the broad accessibility of important parts of the documents of the Duchy of Westphalia for research and teaching.
