咬合発育段階による顆路の変化を検討するため、IIC期13名(男児6名、女児7名)、IIIA期13名(男児5名、女児8名)、成人19名(男子10名、女子9名)を被験者として上下顎運動6自由度測定装置を用いて下顎前方滑走運動時の下顎運動6自由度測定を行い、矢状顆路を描記し、矢状顆路角、前半・後半矢状顆路角、上下的・前後的運動量ならびに矢状顆路パターンの各項目について、男女間、咬合発育段階と成人との比較検討を行った結果、以下の結論を得た。1.性差については、IIC期およびIIIA期は、すべての項目について有意な差はみられなかった。成人において前後的運動量のみ、男子は女子に比べ有意に大きい値を示した。2.矢状顆路角については、IIC期よりIIIA期が、IIIA期より成人が有意に大きな値を示した。3.運動量については、上下的・前後的ともにIIC期よりIIIA期が、IIIA期より成人が有意に大きな値を示した。4.前半矢状顆路角では、IIC期およびIIIA期は成人に比べ有意に大きい値を示したが、IIC期とIIIA期間では有意な差は認められなかった。5.後半矢状顆路角では、IIC期よりIIIA期が有意に大きい値を示したが、IIC期と成人間およびIIIA期と成人間では有意な差は認めなかった。6.矢状顆路パターンは、IIC期では直線様を示し、IIIA期では上に凸型が大半を占め、成人では下に凸型が多かった。
