项目摘要

当該研究課題において、拙著「被占領下の文学に関する基礎的研究-論考編」(1996年2月武蔵野書房発行)・「同-資料編」(95年12月)を踏まえ、これらの不十分さを補い更なる領域の拡大(対象作品の拡大)と深化(書誌的事実確認とその私的解釈の深化)を求め二年間の研究活動をおこなった。この作業の主要軸を、他の研究者の批判的視点を交差させることと試論的作品論を確立することの二つに置いた。前者について、97年度から98年度にわたり三度の学会研究発表をおこなった。その場であるいは会場外で、加えて私信などにもより多くの貴重な指摘を頂いた。当該研究に関する私的探求の枠組みを限定化する契機を得たと考える。資料の復元やその書誌的事実の追求と共に、敗戦期の現実に生きる人びとを言語化する在り方として、自身が非力であることとをまず第一とし、感覚を形象化する自発的行動を制限した動的力学に対する考察が不十分であったとも省みる。後者について、97年から98年にかけて三論文を公表する。他に執筆中の論考が幾つかあり、今後の展開においても中心的な研究活動と考えている。これまでの戦後文学研究が対象化した領域から意識的に離脱し、狭義の戦後文学を私的に《敗戦期文学試論》と規定し、敗戦期の言語環境の変化を個別的に検証しながら作品読解の作業に平行させた。特に、削除された作品本文の復元を踏まえた新たな解釈とその意味を試論的に論述した。GHQ/SCAP検閲は他者が文学作品に与えた具体的記述である。一九四〇年代後半の日本近代文学の特殊性の考察から、アメリカ化していく日本文学ということを考えた。また直接関連付けるものではないが、本研究を経た次段階の展開として、GHQ/SCAP検閲資料を新たに求め、渡米調査も含めた新規の研究方向を模索している。このことを補足として付記したい。

This research project was conducted in the form of "Basic Research on Literature under Occupation: A Review and Compilation"(February 1996, Takeo Library) and "Co-data Compilation"(December 1995).
