本研究は日英語における実時間内での人間の文処理過程を理論的・実証的に考察し,人間の文処理機構を忠実に反映した文処理モデルの構築を通して,動的な側面から言語知識の構造と機能に示唆を与える事を意図したものである.・ 本年度は,まず,文脈に基づく情報が文処理にどの様な影響を与えるかを,法政大学文学部助教授石川潔博士,北陸先端科学技術大学院大学知識科学研究科助教授下嶋篤博士と共に実験的に考察した.その結果,個々の文処理の在り方が談話内での推論処理と強い相関を持つ事を見いだした.本研究は,従来のモデル理論的な意味論の問題点を明らかにすると共に,心内表示に基づく意味理論を提案するものでもあった.研究成果は「談話における信念改訂と推論コスト」として,日本認知科学会第15回大会で口頭発表した.・ また,関係詞構造を含む(あるいは含まない)日本語文を材料として,文節ごとのself-paced reading法により,日本語文処理の直列・並列性を実験的に考察した.reading timeを基に各文節の処理に費やされる処理資源の大小を評価し,被験者の作業記憶容量ならびに刺激文の内部構造との相関を解析した.その結果,組み合わせ的な構造を持った心内表示を前提とした場合,日本語文処理における構造構築処理が直列である事を示唆する傾向を見いだした.また,日本語関係節構造における再解釈には,たとえ処理が困難であるという直観を伴わない場合でも,幾ばくかの処理資源が必要とされ,さらに,再解釈に費やされる処理資源は再解釈の構造的特性によって大きく異なる事を確認した.この実験結果については第2回国際認知科学会議において発表を希望しており,現在審査中である.

This study aims to investigate the theoretical and practical aspects of the human text processing process during the past few years, and to examine the mechanism of human text processing, the reflection of text processing, the construction of text processing, the communication of language knowledge, the construction and function of language knowledge, and the meaning of language knowledge. This year's survey was conducted by Dr. Kiyoshi Ishikawa, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Literature, Hokuriku Advanced University of Science and Technology, and Dr. Atsushi Shimojima, Assistant Professor, Graduate School of Knowledge Science, Hokuriku Advanced University of Science and Technology. As a result, the text processing is in the middle of the conversation, the inference processing is in the middle of the conversation, and the correlation is in the middle of the conversation. This paper presents a theoretical study of the implications of the theory of endocentric representation. Research Results: "Conversation and Belief Revision and Inference", Oral Presentation of the 15th Conference of the Japanese Society of Cognitive Science Japanese language processing is investigated by the self-paced reading method. The reading time is based on the processing cost of each section, the size of the processing resources, the memory capacity of the receiver, and the correlation analysis of the internal structure of the stimulus text. As a result, the structure of the group is maintained in the heart of the case, the Japanese language processing structure is processed in the column, the tendency is shown in the middle. In Japanese, the structure of the relational node is difficult to solve, and the processing resources are necessary in several cases. However, the characteristics of the structure of the relational node are confirmed. The 2nd International Conference on Cognitive Science is currently under review.
