项目摘要

我が国では現在、未使用者に対する「ダメぜったい」ベースの薬物乱用防止教育は活発であるが、「依存」という疾病の存在や、再使用防止のために治療・援助が必要であることなどについての知識の普及が遅れているため、青少年が自らの薬物使用について進んで助けを求めるとは考えにくい。そこで本研究においては、まず薬物を使用した青少年を治療・援助に導入するための動機付けを視野に入れた、家族(親)に対する介入プログラムの検討することとした。まず今回薬物使用者の家族を対象として行った調査の結果からは、薬物使用者の親に見られる次のような共通点が明らかになった。1)「薬物はこわい」「使用は悪いこと」といった認識は強いが、薬物関連問題の具体的知識をもっていない。2)本人の薬物使用は自らの養育の失敗によるものとの強い思いこみがある。3)自らの働きかけのみによって、薬物の使用を止めさせねばならないと考えている。4)叱責や説得によって反省を促し、断薬を約束させる。5)先の約束が破られる度に、本人を一方的に責める。6)誰にも相談せず、問題の存在自体を悟られないようにする。これらを踏まえ、青少年対する直接的介入援助を成功させるためには、まず彼らの身近にいる家族に対して、1)薬物関連問題についての正確な情報の提供(特に依存について)と2)親たちの過度の自責感の軽減を含んだ初期介入プログラムを提供することが必要であると考えられる。これにより、誤った問題理解に基づく適切でない対処行動が修正され、本人と家族との間の無用の葛藤が避けられ、薬物問題について客観的に話し合う機会が生まれることが期待される。薬物を使用た青少年に対して、薬物に関する正確な知識を伝え、話し合うことにより、彼らが自分の問題に気づく機会を増やすためには、今後こうしたプログラムを学校関係者や児童福祉領域および司法福祉領域の援助者にも広げていくことが必要であろう。またさらには、現行の薬物乱用防止教育をさらに進化させ、「もしも」の時にどうすべきかということについても、広く知らせていくべきであると考えられる。
