1.『圓臺院殿御日記』にみられる芸能記録データベースの補完昨年度と同様。2.『常興善院御日記』の調査および閲覧、複写『常興善院御日記』(近衛家二十六代当主近衛忠煕夫人、常興善院興子の日記、天保十五年〜弘化三年、財団法人陽明文庫蔵)の調査・閲覧、ならびに必要箇所の複写を行った。年代的にも、昨年芸能記録をデータベース化した『圓臺院殿御日記』に継ぐもので、近世後期の摂政家奥向きの芸能の様子を概観することができた。3.『忠煕公日記(仮称)』の調査および閲覧、複写財団法人陽明文庫において、『常興善院日記』の閲覧申請をした際、「常興善院日記」と記述された箱から大量の未考証日記が見つかった。幕末から明治初年にあたるもので、常興善院の没後の分も含まれていることから、当主の忠煕公の日記かと思われた。御傍日記に紛れて自筆日記もあることが、手跡から判明した。公職を退いてからの気ままな生活が日記に記されており、歌舞練場へ舞の会を見に行ったり、町中で能楽師と偶然出会ったりといった記事が多く、非常に興味深いものである。当初の計画では、近衛家の別荘であった河原御殿の記録を調査する予定であったが、この一級資料の出現により、予定通りには進まなかった。しかし、これを詳細に調査し、『圓臺院殿御日記』『常興善院御日記』の芸能記録とあわせることにより、文化文政期より明治初年までの摂政家と芸能の関わりの全貌を明らかにできると思われ、今後も継続する予定である。
