项目摘要

本研究では、高年齢者を対象とした計算機操作技能の探索型の訓練環境において、対象システムの知識およびそ操作のための技能が習得される過程について、実際に被験者を用いて探索学習のプロセスを観測することによって知識の内化の過程およびその個人差を生じる要因について調べるとともに、知識の内化を円滑にするための効果的な情報の提示の要因について考察し、インターフェースの設計のための指針を示すことを目的として研究を行ってきた。その結果以下のような成果を得た。(1)高年齢者の技能習得プロセスとその個人差の解明高年齢者が探索的に計算機操作の技能を習得する実験を行うことにより、探索型訓練における探索行動を観測・分析した結果、被験者の職業により探索パターンが異なることを明らかにした。すなわち、訓練時点で終業している被験者群は広さ優先の探索をおこなうのに対し、非就業群は深さ優先の探索行動をおこなう傾向があるという学習戦略の違いを指摘した上でそれぞれの知識の体制化の過程との関連について考察した。(2)高年齢者の特性を考慮したインターフェース設計のガイドラインの構築上記のような高年齢者の特性に基づき、高年齢者が計算機作業を行なう上で影響を及ぼす諸特性について考察し、高年齢者の円滑な技能の修得を支援するためのインターフェース設計についてのガイドラインをまとめた。さらにそのガイドラインに基づいて高年齢者がインターネット操作を行うためのインターフェースのプロトタイプを開発し、実際に高年齢者が使用することによってユーザビリティの評価を行いその有効性を検証した。
