项目摘要

職務環境の高度情報化に伴いホワイトカラーワーカーは新しい技術環境に迅速に適応し多様な形態の情報をより多量に処理することを求められてきており、人間の適応能力・情報処理能力を明らかにし適切な情報付与の指針を開発することは急務となっている。本研究ではマルチモーダルインターフェース環境における計算機作業について、情報量と作業効率の関係を明らかにし、より効率的な作業のためのインターフェース設計の指針を与えることを目的として研究を行い、以下のような成果を得た。1.情報量と作業効率の関係空間的情報について情報量の算出方法を提案し、情報量の水準を異にして複数の情報を与えた環境での実験を行うことによって情報量と作業効率の関係が空間的情報にも成り立つことを確認し、作業の効率化のために適切な情報の形態と量に関する指針を提案した。2.作業効率の動的変化の評価手法の提案1.の実験結果について作業効率の時間変化を動的に評価するための手法として移動習熟係数を提案し、その有効性をシミュレーション実験などにより検証した。3.作業効率の時間的変化と情報の与え方の関係1.の実験結果を2.で提案された手法で経時的に分析することによって得られる作業効率の時間的変化の様子から,単純な効率の向上だけでなく,作業者の作業に対する抵抗感の低減,モチベーションの向上など心理的な考察も取り入れた情報の与え方と作業効率の向上の仕方に関する指針を構築した。そして得られた指針に基づいて計算機上の作業を設計し、実験を行うことによって作業効率や心理的側面について効果が現われているかどうかを検証した。さらに被験者として高齢者と若年者の両方を用いることによって、特に計算機環境に対する適応が難しいとされる高年齢者について若年者との比較からその有効性と年齢による相違点を明らかにした。
