英語と日本語における音韻獲得・発達に関するデータを収集し、比較分析することが本研究の目的である。昨年度の研究では日英両言語のいい誤りデータを収集し、主に素性レベルにおける比較分析を行った。今年度も咋年同様、両言語のいい誤りデータを引き続き収集し、年代別の分析を行ったが、今年はデータを素性レベルでの分類、分析だけでなく、先行研究において提唱されてきた音節に関するさまざまな仮説と照らし合わせながらの比較分析を試みた。例えば英語をはじめとするゲルマン言語のスピーチエラーに基づいて設けられた「音節構造に関する仮説」(the syllable structure hypothesis)は、音節の出だし音(onset)の方がコーダ内の子音よりも多くエラーに関与するのは音節構造に起因する、という仮説である。ゲルマン諸言語とは異なる音節構造をもつ日本語においても出だし音が多くエラーに関与するという結果から、本仮説は日本語には当てはまらないことがわかった。逆に、音節構造の類似性に関する仮説(the syllable similarity hypothesis)は一部の研究者の間では否定されていたが、実は日本語の特殊モーラが関与するエラーを説明する上で妥当な仮説であることがわかった。本研究の成果はカナダのモントリオールにて開催された"28^<th> Meeting of the Linguistic Association of Canada and the US"及びスロベニアで開催された"36^<th> International Colloquium of Linguistics"において発表し、各々の学会のSelected papersに選ばれ、出版されることになっている。

English language acquisition and development are the main purposes of this study. This year's study focuses on the collection and comparative analysis of English language errors. This year, the same year. For example, in English, the syllable structure hypothesis is set to be the syllable structure hypothesis, and the syllable origin hypothesis is set to be the syllable structure hypothesis. The Japanese language is different from the Japanese language in syllable structure. The syllabable similarity hypothesis is the most appropriate hypothesis for researchers to explain the similarity between the structure of the syllable and the structure of the syllable. The results of this study were published in the "28^<th>Meeting of the Linguistic Association of Canada and the US" and the "36^<th>International Colloquium of Linguistics".
