项目摘要

1 昨年度から引き続きポリネシア諸言語の文献収集を行いました。その成果として新たに得られた文献について研究補助を雇いコンピュータ入力の作業を進めポリネシア諸語例文データベースの拡充を図りました。2 主に昨年度までにデータベース化したデータを基に、データベースソフト(MSAccess)を活用して、ハワイ語、サモア語、トンガ語、トケラウ語、クック諸島マオリ語、マオリ語、イースター島語、タヒチ語の8つのポリネシア諸語の例文データベースから数詞文、名詞文の例文を抽出し、数詞文例集及び名詞文例集を作成しました。次に、それぞれ個々の言語について数詞文・名詞文の構造について分析・一般化を試みました。3 上記2の成果を比較対照した結果、今回分析した8つのポリネシア諸語に見られる名詞文・数詞文を大きく分けてそれぞれ構造的・意味的に異なる二つのタイプに分類しました。4 特に重点的に分析を進めていたハワイ語の数詞文について、上記結果を基に分析結果を整理し、その成果を日本言語学会で発表しました。5 上記の2から4の成果をまとめて、各ポリネシア諸語の数詞文・名詞文の構造の一般化、意味・用法、例文等を対照しやすいように統一した様式で並べたものと、特に重点的に分析を進めたハワイ語の数詞文の大部分の例を網羅した分類例文集資料を併せて、本科研費にて出版し、関係研究者等に配布しました。これに関してポリネシア諸語とは同系統ではない言語の名詞文について分析を進めている研究者と意見交換を持ちましたが、そのような研究者と共同で、今後は、異なる系統の言語を含めた類型論的研究へと発展させていく予定です。
