The aim of the priority program is to develop the fundamental scientific methods for manufacturing partially adaptive modules from high-performance concrete in industrial flow production. The modules should have series character and enable rapid construction. Visual individuality of the composite structure shall be preserved, so that scalable, adaptive and during the service life transformable modules and suitable production concepts are sought. Experts from the fields of concrete structures, manufacturing technology and engineering informatics are addressed to contribute to the three major domains of research: Design and construction with focus on modularization, systems and concepts of production for scalable modules, as well as universal digital models for the associated processes. Objectives of the first funding period (FP1) were the methodical progress of the individual research topics and the establishment of first interactions. In FP2, the focus is widened from the individual modules to the holistic load-bearing structure and its digital representation. Specifically, this includes the integration of convertible module concepts to cover construction states as well as new measurement techniques for quality control into the digital models and the associated manufacturing concepts with cyber-physical systems. The coordination project serves the coherent overall success of the priority program and makes three key contributions: structural coordination, coordination of content and linking of all research activities, as well as generalization into joint universal strategies. Structural coordination is managed by the coordinator and a program committee. Measures include events on different levels, various promotional and further training measures, start-up support, internationalization measures, a joint representation of the group, maintenance of public relations and coordination of regular exchange on communication platforms. In terms of content, the linking of all subprojects to the overall digital representation is called for. The established exchange platform will be successively extended in its interfaces and data structures. Interaction chains across the projects will be initiated and two demonstrators of the new construction method will be developed, a real structural one and a virtual one as a smart factory. Generalization and consolidation of all developments in the program are methodically based on fundamental principles from the central project. In FP1, the focus was on methods for beam and wall structures under integration of process-related uncertainties in material and geometry. In FP2, models for joints and intermediate states of construction of modules, methods of changeability and the control of the digital representation to a smart factory are to be developed. The central project harmonizes the entire network in a coherent manner and serves to avoid unwanted gaps.
