1.対象領域とプロトタイプ:小児科の心身発達障害患者の療育を対象領域に、診療履歴データを可搬性メディアに保存、患者自身が携帯・管理し、再利用を容易にするプロトタイプシステムを構築している。2.医療データの保存形式:HL7やDICOMの国際規格や診療データの国内標準になりつつあるMML規格やMERIT-9プロジェクトとの互換性を考慮し、乳幼児より成人に至るまでの長期間の診療履歴データを、Web標準であるXMLファイル形式で保存している。3.診療データの表示:Webブラウザーで表示し、MRI, CTなどの複雑な医療画像はパブリックドメインにあるNIHのImage-Jを使用し表示している。4.診療データの入力:療育機関でデータを収集するインターフェースは、Webブラウザーからフォームで入力して編集する。現在、既存データの収集が容易に出来るように、メニューを活用したインターフェースを開発中で、医療従事者の負担の軽減を目指している。5.携帯性メディア:容易に第3者に書換えられないCD-Rのメディアを使用して、プロトタイプデータを作成配布して、実用性テストを行っている。6.診療データのプライバシーの保護:現在、圧縮された診療データを本人のパスワードで解凍し使用する方式である。更に適切な暗号化や認証方式を検討中であり、データのセキュリティに関して信頼性がある方式・技術の実用性の実験をしている。7.研究成果の発表:2003年5月に小児神経学会で、心身発達障害患者のためのプロトタイプについての学会発表を行い、実用的なシステムためのフィードバックを得た。また、2003年9月に日本重症心身障害学会においても報告した。8.今後の研究方針:障害者(児)本人や家族が個人医療情報を直接に管理・携帯し、検査・治療などの履歴情報を療育機関に正確に伝達するこのようなシステムは、より良い療育のために大きく貢献すると考える。今後の方針として、障害児、リスク児だけでなく健常児にも有用な母子手帳の機能も包含するシステムの構築を目指したい。
