1.「使琉球詩」の収集・歴代冊封正使・副使そして彼ら従客たちの残した漢詩などを可能な限り網羅的に収集する作業を継続した。・国内では沖縄県立図書館、国外ではシドニー大学図書館など、各地の図書館を訪ね、所蔵する「使琉球詩」関連の漢籍の原本・写本、原刊本・再刻本などの確認、また複製を入手する作業を行った。・作品集のほか、使琉球録に掲載された詩、沖縄各地に残された書跡など、既知の史料はもちろんのこと、未知の作品集などの発掘に努めた。2.「使琉球詩」の分析・初年度・昨年度に引き続いて、申請者の発見した徐葆光『奉使琉球詩』の検討を行うとともに、蕭崇業と謝杰の『皇華唱和詩』、胡靖の『中山詩集』、汪楫の『観海集』、など他の冊封使の作品集について分析を継続した。・嘉慶5年(1800)の冊封正使趙文楷の詩集『槎上存稿』と副使李鼎元の詩集『師竹斎集』を対象として、李鼎元の残した使琉球録や、琉球側の史料との比較・検証作業を行った。その結果、世上広く読まれている李鼎元『使琉球記』に日時の記載誤りの少なくないことなどを明らかにし、使琉球詩の史料としての有用性を示した。・李鼎元『使琉球記』の記載日時と内容について史料批判を行い、正しい日時の下に再編成する作業を行った。3.「使琉球詩」データベースの構築・収集した「使琉球詩」を原本に使用された文字の通りに入力し、さらにさまざま属性を与えて、研究支援データベースを構築する作業を継続した。・原本に忠実に作成された電子テクストを活用するためどのようなデータベースソフトを活用するのがよいか、いくつかのデータベースソフトを用いてデータベースを仮構築し、比較検討した。
