平成19年度は最終年度なので、国際連盟と中国外交、日中関係について、成果のとりまとめを目指した。具体的な成果として、「中華民国の国際運盟外交-『非常任理事国』層から見た連盟論」(緒方貞子・半澤朝彦編著『グローバル・ガヴァナンスの歴史的変容-国連と国際政治史-』、ミネルヴァ書房、2007年4月、49-74頁)を公刊することができた。このほか、朝鮮総督府文書に残されたリットン調査団の来訪時の記録調査など、これまで明らかにされていない調査団の活動の全貌に近づくための調査をおこなった。このほか、国際政治学会2007年度研究大会の東アジア国際政治史分科会(《東アジアにおける国際連盟-知的交流と衛生事業-》)において司会を担当し、斎川貴嗣、安田佳代といった若手研究者の国際連盟と日中関係に関する研究との交流、議論の機会を得た(2007年10月27日、於福岡国際会議場)。本科研が当初企図した、(1)国際連盟での中国の代表人事、経費負担、委員会参加、具体的な投票行動、活動状況のデータベース化、(2-1)連盟創設期から日本が委員会レヴェルからも脱退する1938年に至る、各種委員会での議論、公共事業(衛生、アヘン、交通建設等)における中日のやりとり、応酬の年表化、(2-2)リットン調査団に対する中国側の意図、政策、議論の経緯を中国側の档案で詳細に明らかにするという目標については、特に第三点目については成果を出すことができたが、前半の二点について、第一点が作業中、第二点が若手の研究者により実現されつつあるといった状況である。今後は、ジュネーブでの調査を含めて、本課題のへの考察を深め、大型の科研の申請につなげていきたい。
