本研究の目的は、実習における利用者および実習生の個人情報が、教育機関と養成施設でどのように扱われているかの現状と課題を明らかにすることである。本年度は、2008年2月に実施した(1)実習施設の指導者と教育機関の実習教育担当者の結果を分析し、また、(2)2008年度の実習を終了した学生、(3)教育機関の実習担当者を対象としたフォーカス・グループインタビューを実施及びその結果を分析した。(1)については、教育機関と実習施設の意思疎通の不十分さから、実習プログラム立案や、指導で個人情報を活用することに困難が生じているため、実習指導時の個人情報の活用方法及びその範囲について、教育機関と実習施設との意思疎通が実習プログラム立案段階から積極的に図られる必要があること、(2)については、事前オリエンテーションの方法や内容には施設によってバラツキが大きく、利用者の個人情報の閲覧など、直接職員に申し出づらいという意識を強くもっていることが判明した。(3)については、利用者の個人情報にはどんな意味があるのか、何故専門職はそれを知る必要があるのか、実習生が知る意味は何か?というプロセスを、事前-事中-事後の指導の中で学生にどう理解させていくかが重要であること、学生の適性を見極めた上での自己覚知を促す「向き合った」指導のあり方、利用者第一ということを踏まえた上での「人材を育てる」ための共通認識をもてるように、お互いの歩み寄りによる協力体制を目指す必要があることが判った。
