1、脳の符号化機構について、相関符号化理論とその数学的基礎の研究を開始した。とくに。脳内ダイナミクスとしての動的アセンブリー仮説の研究に着手。(藤井 宏)2、試験管中での単一種の植物性プランクトンの空間分布の時間的変化を記述する数学モデルの安定性を考察。(細野雄三)3、Kermack&Kendricの伝染病伝播モデルに体して、非感染者のみが空間的に拡散する場合に進行波解が存在することを示した。(細野雄三)4、ランダムフラクタル上のパーコレーションの研究。Mauldin-Williamsの定式化で得られるランダムフラクタル上で消滅過程を考察した。(辻井芳樹)5、非線型偏微分方程式系を中心として力学系の分岐理論について、理工系研究者向けの教科書を執筆。(藤井 宏)6、無限次元力学系のヘテロクリニック軌道の分岐と数値解析に関して、共同研究者のFriedmann教授とともに、一連の研究を続行。とくに、無限次元力学系のヘテロクリニック軌道の分岐の枠組みにかんして成果をえた。近日中に最初の報告を出版できる見込みである。(藤井 宏)
