ETHNOSCIENTIFIC STUDY IN JAPANESE VIEW OF NATURE

从1987年到1988年，我们用民族生态学的方法研究了日本人的自然观。我们选择了位于日本西南部和东北部的两个孤立的村庄（黑岛和乌托里）进行实地调查。没有使用现代工具或设施的传统生活周围的自然与我们所说的自然母亲大不相同，我们远远无法控制。包括人类在内的动植物生态系统已经发生了显著的变化。我们称之为Hudo，涉及到日语中人类行为的相对化。我们得到了许多关于野生动植物的民间知识的信息。利用这些材料，我们可以将传统生活重构为两种不同类型的村落。

From 1987 to 1988, we have studied Japanese view of nature by the ethnoecological method. We choosed two isolated villages which located in Southwestern and Northeastern Japan(Kuroshima and Ootori)in order to do fieldwork.The nature surrounding the traditional life with nor modern implement or facilities used is quite different from what we call mother nature which is far out of our control. The ecosystem in flora and fauna, including human being has so far been markedly changed. We call it Hudo involving a relativization of human behavior in Japanese. We get many information as to the folkknowledge about wild plants and animals. Using these materials, we can reconstruct the traditional life as the two different types of village.
