この研究の目的は、学校教育を受け学歴を取得することに高い価値を認める学歴主義が、いつ、どのようにしてすべての社会集団に浸透していったのかを明らかにすることにある。そこで、兵庫県多紀郡における2つの新制高校を対象とし、戦後の教育改革から昭和40年頃までに焦点をあてて、(1)その時期の2つの高校の教員経験者へのインタビュ-(1989・3実施)(2)学校、教育委員会、個人所蔵の文献資料の収集(1988〜1989にかけて数回実施)の2種の調査を行った。その結果、戦前期の各種中等教育機間は、すべて新制高校として制度的な同一化が図られ、また、男女共学、総合制化などの平等化をめざした改革が実施されるため、高校進学率は著しく上昇し教育機会は拡大することが明らかになった。次に、機会の拡大が、戦前期中等教育から最も遠い距離にあった農民層の進学率上昇をもたらし、学歴主義があらゆる階層に浸透していく契機となったことがわかった。そして、最後に、こうして高校教育は、戦前の特権的性格を払拭したが、他方で、当初意図した総合制化、勤労青少年のための定時制教育は定着せず、昭和30年代後半には、普通科と職業科との間に学業成績を基準とした配分が行なわれ、高校は序列的な構造を形成するようになることが明らかになった。教育機会拡大の結果、学歴主義が浸透し、誰もがより高い学歴を求めるようになり、そのことが逆に高校を序列化していくというプロセスが存在しているのである。この分析結果は、1989,10の日本教育社会学会大会で口頭発表し、現在論文執筆中、また、1985〜1987に受けた科学研究員による成果と合わせて、1990,4頃に出版予定である。

The purpose of this study is to improve the quality of education and to improve the quality of education. The focus of educational reform since the 40th year of Showa has been focused on (1) the development of teachers in colleges and universities during the period (implemented in March 1989), and (2) the collection of literature data collected by schools, education committees, and individuals (implemented several times from 1988 to 1989). As a result, in the early stage, various kinds of secondary education institutions have been reformed, and the system of new colleges and universities has been unified, co-education, integration and equality have been implemented. The enrollment rate of colleges and universities has been increasing. Secondary education, opportunity, distance, farmer's education rate, opportunity, etc. In the second half of the 1930s, the academic performance of general subjects and vocational subjects was divided into benchmarks, and the structure of college and university sequences was formed. Education opportunities are great, and learning principles are permeated, and those who do not have high learning opportunities are serialized. The results of this analysis were presented orally at the Japan Society of Educational Sociology Conference in October 1989, and are currently being authored by scientific researchers from 1985 to 1987, and published in April 1990.
