项目摘要

本年度は最終年度として報告書作成を目標に以下の検討を行った。1)読み書きのレデイネスに関する基礎調査の継続とまとめまず、「自分の名前の読みと書字」という、幼児にとって親しみやすく早期から習得される課題を取り上げ、年少、年中、年長児群各30名、計90名を対象に、音韻分解を基礎とした読みと書字の習得過程を検討した。その結果、年少児では、(1)名前の書字も音韻分解も出来ないから(2)名前は書けないが音韻分解は出来るが主であり、年長児になると(5)名前の書字も音韻分解もできる反応が全体の8割を占めた。年少から年中にかけて文字の模写課題に著しい伸びが見られ、年中から年長にかけて、名前の書字、文字の読み、文字・図形の同定に大きな伸びが見られる。次に特殊学級児童35名についての調査では、自分の名前は練習によりほぼ全員が書けている。しかし、簡単な図形の同定と視写課題の得点は低く、視覚的な認知能力に問題のあることが示唆された。2)これらの知見をふまえ、特殊学級児童の書字にかんする発達資料を過去5年間にさかのぼって検討し、今回の調査を支持する結果を得た。3)手書き文字判断システムの応用化への検討すでに、堀口によって開発された手書き文字判断システムを実際の教育指導場面に適用するため、健常および障害児の書字の習得過程を詳しく分析し、各文字を構成要素への分類方法を検討した。これまでの研究(国立国語研究所1972)では、書字の結果を文章定義によって分類しようと試みている。しかしこの方法では検者間の一致度は低く、客観的手法になり得ない。そこで幼児や障害児の書字の習得過程において、彼らが視覚的に把握する構成要素の抽出を試みた。その結果を参考に、教育工学的手法による文字判断システムの作成を検討した。
