本研究の目的は、人間が創造的な仕事を行なっている際の発想の方略を探ることである。研究の方法として、次の段階を踏むことを計算した。(1)アイディアの断片の抽出、(2)断片の構造化のパターンの抽出、(3)断片のストーリー化パターンの抽出、(4)ストーリー化ツールの開発。1.心理学的実験によるアイディアの断片の抽出の実験はうまくいかなかった。2.研究会の口頭発表のサンプリングによるアイディアの断片の抽出。断片として適した大きさとなった。3.断片の構造化: 断片をノードとするハイパーテキストを構成することが(2)である。線形の構造である口頭発表をグラフ状の構造に再構築する。手掛りとして、指示代名詞、同一内容の繰返しや言い直しなどのほか、接続詞や関係を明示する単語を抽出した。4.完成した文章から3に準じて断片を得、リンク付けを半自動的に行なうプログラムを開発し、ハイパーテキストを構成する方法の増強を行なった。5.ストーリーの分析から、いくつかのパターンを抽出した。順序に関するもの:因果(時系列を含む)パターン・理由付けパターン・注釈パターン、主題の展開に関するもの:疑問解答パターン・エピソードパターン6.ハイパーテキストからストーリーを再構成するプログラムを開発中。
