Information and Acceptance of Modern Landscape Architecture and Horticulture in the Dawning Period.

本研究的目的是分析明治时代，即日本现代园林和园艺的萌芽时期，日本人如何接受国内外的园艺信息。作者在国会图书馆、东京都中央图书馆、名古屋豪萨藏书等图书馆查阅了许多园艺方面的出版物和手稿。笔者发现，一些民间图书馆有较好的园艺收藏，它们都是江户时期出版的。白井系列，伊藤系列，牧野系列，菊池系列都是很好的例子。我们可以看到江户时代的园艺和园艺信息传播的真实状态，这种状态受到了出版文化繁荣的影响。而在近代，杂志这一大众传播媒介对园艺的传播和普及作用超过了江户时代。一些园艺杂志在明治20年代以后开始出版。这些杂志介绍了国外的园艺信息。虽然海外植物学的发展促成了日本近代园艺的发展，但江户时代浅薄的整体栽培却成为日本园艺的盲目盟友而没有得到发展。

The purpose of this research is to analize how to accept informationson internal horticulture and oversea in Meiji Era, the dawning period of modern landscape architecture and horticulture in Japan.The author reserached many publicatons and manuscripts on horticulture at some libraries, such as the National Diet Library, the Tokyo Metroporitan Central Library, Nagoya Hosa collection of books and so on.The author could see that some private libraries had good horticultural collections in unity, which had been published in Edo period. Shirai collections, Itoh collections, Makino cllections, Kikuchi collections are exellent examples. We can recognize the real state of horticulture and the spread of horticultural informations in Edo period, which had been influenced by the culture of flourishing publication.And in modern ages, the magazines, the mass media, had brought the spread of informations and the popularization on horticulture more than Edo period. Some horticultural magazines began to publish after the Meiji 20s. Overseas horticultural informations were introduced by these magazines. Although the development of overseas botany caused the modern horticulture in Japan, the dilettantish holticulture of Edo period became being a blind ally and didn't develop.
