The relation between morphology and a character of band 4.2 proteins (P4.2) of erythrocyte membrane on hereditary spherocytosis were studied. This case is a family of Okinawa Pref.. As for this case, P4.2 of erythrocytes does not exist. The binding site of band 3 protein was normal. The reconstruction to erythrocyte membrane of P4.2 was normal. A phosphorylation of erythrocyte membrane proteins were normal. It is during examination about a change of P4.2 gene.
